About

ABOUT US

BLAKLIST is a First Nations agency representing creatives across a variety of disciplines, including models, designers, dancers, performers, actors, hosts, graphic artists, and storytellers. We were founded to nurture emerging First Nations talent, celebrate our pioneers, and highlight the achievements of our leaders.

At BLAKLIST, we prioritise cultural safety. All projects, contracts, and programs are designed and overseen to ensure cultural protocols are respected when working with First Nations creatives. We are proud to be 100% First Nations owned and run.

PURPOSE

Our main purpose is to build visibility and representation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creatives. As our community of talent grows, we have refined our vision to focus on increasing engagement and employment opportunities within the Australian creative industries.

We act as a family—mentorship is central, with our aunties guiding the next generation. We are committed to continuous support for our talent, advocating for their rights, building authentic community relationships, and creating direct pathways into the Australian and international creative industries.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Culturally Safe Environments: Every project and contract is delivered with cultural sensitivity and protocols at the forefront.

  • Authentic Engagement: We ensure meaningful opportunities and direct employment access points within the Australian creative sector for First Nations talent.

  • National & International Representation: Our talent is positioned on high-profile campaigns, advertising platforms, and events both locally and globally.

  • Cultural Services & Programs: We provide educational resources for non-Indigenous companies and the wider industry to promote cultural understanding and collaboration.
