ONLINE FASHION COURSE PROVIDING CULTURAL DIGITAL TRAINING FOR AUSTRALIAN FASHION INDUSTRY

Creating Cultural Safety is one of a range of access strategies available to support inclusivity for, and career opportunities to, First Nations peoples in Australia today. To deliver Cultural Safety in an evolving and changing world it is essential that each individual in an organisation or fashion / design operation is Culturally Responsive – able to change and shift in line with emerging needs.

This training includes a self-audit and action planning around Cultural Safety and your internal operations.

This training has been developed over more than two decades by the Voices of Traditional Owners  and Elders across Australia, and in consultation with the Indigenous Fashion & Design sector of 21st-century Australia.

Learning Outcome 1: 

Communicate and engage more effectively, understanding how the two World Views of Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples differ but can co-exist for the highest good.

Understand Indigenous engagement protocols and how they can apply to you.

Learning Outcome 3: 

Understand how perceived power and cultural nuances can create significant barriers.
